We will know Not only the feel good, socially acceptable secrets. I would like to know about the dark side secrets as well.

"Follow the 6 RULES and you will make money in your life"

David Rubenstein spoke to the Wharton MBA 2014 Graduating Class. David knows something about Money. He is the CEO and co-founder of Carlyle Group ($10,000 billion capitalized asset management firm).Wharton School is the oldest business school in world.

The 6 Rules Of being successful

1. DETERMINATION

Is more important than brilliance or intelligence. Not taking NO for an answer...will yield far more financial rewards than will accepting conventional wisdom. Do not give up on your own beliefs easily or quickly.

2. HARD WORK

Will yield greater financial rewards than a 9-to-5 work style. To recognize anything really worth achieving in business...or life... takes a serious time commitment. If you want to get ahead financially, then long hours are important and a prerequisite. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos etc. all worked hard for their success.

3. FOCUS

On one subject or one area where you can truly make yourself an expert and become your organizations indispensable resource. Avoid spreading yourself thin by trying to do too much before you learn to do one thing really well.

4. PERSUASION

Learn how to persuade others to do what you want. In order to do that well you must learn how to communicate effectively (writing and speaking). More importantly, you need to learn to communicate by the most effective means of communication 'The Examples You Set in Your Own Actions and Conduct'.

5. BE THE BEST

Put your energy into providing the best service/product possible. Do Not focus only on how much money you wish to make.

'the obsession with making money rarely leads to the making of money'

The obsession with achieving excellence and doing the best job possible, which nobody can do as well, is what leads to the making of fortunes. Money needs to be the happy byproduct, not the principal goal.

6. HUMILITY

This rather than arrogance will lead to far greater success. You should also recognize that LUCK is likely to play a large role in your success and that BAD LUCK could come along at any moment. So stay humble!

WARNING

Follow the 6 RULES and you will almost certainly (with just a modest amount of good luck) make a fair amount of money in your life... if that is you're goal.

However, if you are smart enough, you will realize in time that the mere making of money will not make you happy. Personal happiness is a far better life goal to obtain (as elusive as that may appear to be).
